How to Create and Edit Site Layouts

  • Head to Craft and click on the "Layouts" section within the left sidebar (only Admins will see that option)
  • Here, you’ll be able to view the existing layouts and also create a new layout.
By default, two (2) layouts will be displayed:
    • “Default” - Used for regular pages
    • “DoubleHeader” - Used only for AMP pages
  • If you want to perform any changes in your site's header, footer, or navigation - you must make them both in the "Default" and "DoubleHeader" items.
  • Clicking on each item within the table will take you to the Site Layout editing screen.

Note: In the future, you'll be required to edit only one of the Layout items, and you won't need to perform every change twice. This limitation will be solved when all new page templates will be supported.

The Site Layout editing screen is divided into four (4) sections:

  • Header
  • Sub Header
  • Hamburger Menu
  • Footer

Each section includes the relevant data fields that can be edited according to the following:

Site Logos

Per the relevant section, you’ll be able to define three (3) different logos:

  • Header
-Logo - Main site logo, displayed on the top header
  • Sub Header
-Mobile Logo - Displayed on the subheader when viewing the site on mobile devices
-Desktop logo - Displayed on the subheader when viewing the site on desktop devices

For each logo, you can add a URL and Alt text. We provided you with a cool background selection to get a better view of your logo (the background won't affect the representation on the website).

Keep in mind that the logo will be shown on the top of your website and that the file format must be SVG.

Navigation

Use the dropdown menu to select an existing Navigation layout to use per each relevant section:

  • Header
  • Sub Header
  • Hamburger

Note that you cannot edit the navigation layout in this section. To do so, click on the “Edit” icon, which will redirect you to Craft > Navigations, where editing is available.

Once you are done editing your navigation, click “Save” to return to Craft > Layouts and continue from where you left off. It is imperative to save your navigation changes. Otherwise, changes made to the layout screen will not be saved.

Social Links
Here you can add social links into your website's header, footer, or Hamburger menu on mobile.
For each item you add, you must insert the URL to lead to the specific social account (you can also edit or delete an existing link).

These are the social links we currently support (and more to come):
  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • Instagram
  • YouTube
  • LinkedIn
  • Email
  • RSS

Note that in the Hamburger menu and Footer sections, you can also add a title (for example: "FOLLOW US")

Dropdown Links

The Dropdown appears at the top right corner of your website. You can link the items to internal and external pages.

This is relevant for brands that have multiple editions (EN, ES, FR, DE, etc.)

Footer Links
In this section, you can add footer links to your site's general pages such as:
  • About Us
  • Privacy Policy
  • Cookie Policy
  • Contact Us
  • Careers
  • Partners
  • Terms & Conditions

You can also add the title for that sections (for example "LINKS")

App Links
In case your brands have any Apps, this is the place to add the links to the "App Store" (Apple) & "Play Store" (Google)

Here, you can add the legal disclaimer that will appear at the bottom part of your websites

Call to Action Button

Here, you can add the text and link to the CTA button on the page's header (for example: "Log In")
This button is available only within the doubleHeader layout.

Please consult with the SEO team before performing any changes, as it may affect the site substantially if a mistake is made.
