  3. After the TOC block has been added, every H2 title under it will automatically be included in the TOC. Any H2 titles above the TOC block will not be included.
To add an H2 title, mark the part of the text you want to format and click on H2 in the formatting bar.
  4. You may add an optional H3 title to the TOC.
    For example:

Important notes:

  • The TOC will be a separate text block in the CMS editor.
  • It is not recommended to add more than one TOC for each article.
  • The TOC will be generated only on the site side and in the preview article feature. Therefore, to see what the TOC includes, click on the preview article mode button to load the article with the TOC items.
  • Users can change the TOC location through the reordering option.
  • The TOC feature is not supported on articles with Slideshows.

On the site side:

  • The TOC will have clickable links which lead users to an HTML anchor with the relevant H2 title.
  • When an item is clicked, a random ID will be generated and added to the URL after the hashtag symbol.
  • The item text will be the same as the H2 title. When the title is changed via the editor, the item text will change as well.
  • After clicking a link from the TOC and moving to a relevant paragraph, the user will return to where he was when he clicks the browser back button.
