Unfortunately this is a known CMS bug that our team is working on a long-term solution for.
A long‑term fix requires a larger editor re‑platform (planned for Voltax 2.0, not yet scheduled), so for now we’re asking all editors to follow these precautions.
How to reduce the chance of duplication
- Avoid rapid, back‑to‑back deletions
- Don’t “machine gun” click the trash icon on multiple paragraphs in a row.
- Delete one block at a time and wait a moment for the editor to update before deleting the next block.
- Always double‑check your article before publishing
- Before scheduling or publishing, quickly scan the entire article body for:
- Duplicate paragraphs or sections
- Paragraphs that didn’t actually delete
- Blocks that jumped to the wrong place in the article
- Before scheduling or publishing, quickly scan the entire article body for:
Avoid abnormally long articles in CMS:
In your case, the article has a word cont of over 4000 words. That causes a serious strain on the CMS processing powers. Perhaps it will be a good idea to create a new follow up post to the original and link to the post you are currently worked on
- If things start to behave strangely
- Stop editing immediately (don’t keep deleting or re‑ordering blocks).
- Refresh the draft in the editor.
