Post Page guide

All articles within the same site use the same Post Page Template. This template is defined during the site setup and can be edited through the "Pages" section within Craft.

Currently on Voltax, there are four different Post Page Templates and two Post Page AMP templates.

The following data can be configured through the Post Page editing screen and affect all of the site’s articles:

  • Byline Text- The “By” text that appears before the author’s name (at the top of the article)
  • Timestamp format- The Published timestamp is displayed by default
    -Last Updated timestamp can be added and will display both published and updated timestamps
  • RevContent App ID- This ID is provided by Revcontent. If this field is empty, the widget won’t be displayed.
  • OpenWeb ID- This ID is provided by OpenWeb. If this field is empty, the widget won’t be displayed.
  • Disclaimer - A disclaimer message can be added in cases where legally required (commerce, affiliate links, etc.). The disclaimer text and position (top/bottom) should be defined and will be applied to every article with a “disclaimer” commercial tag. Please advise the legal team regarding the text and the disclaimer position.
    -If the text isn’t defined, nothing will be added to the article when adding the commercial tag
    -By default, the disclaimer position will be at the top of the article

  • Finite Scroll- The toggle should be turned on to apply finite scroll on the site. The finite scroll will display four more related articles when scrolling down the page.
  • Social- Select which social networks you want to allow readers to share articles (Facebook, Twitter, Reddit)

  • Slideshow Section: The slideshow buttons’ text can be configured. These buttons will be displayed on slideshow articles (created through the CMS)

  • Recommendations Section: To enable the “Related Articles” component, ensure this section’s fields are filled-in. When the Title and Block Position fields are inputted by the user, the “Related Articles” recommendations component will appear after the relevant block number
    -Title- Will appear above the recommendations component
    -Related Articles Block Position- Define the number of blocks that you want to show before the “Related Articles” component is displayed in the article page. Ex. If block position=5, the component will appear after 5 blocks. If there are fewer blocks than defined, the “Related Articles” component will appear at the end of the article.

    *Recommendations Section (Kyiv): On Kyiv template, there are manual recommendations defined per article through the Publisher. The Featured stories recommendations will appear at the bottom of the page, after the end of the article.
    -Title- Will appear above the recommendations component

Post Page AMP

Additional fields that can be configured for AMP pages:

  • Video player ID
  • Video playlist ID
  • Analytics Config URL- To track the page’s performance
  • Comscore ID
  • Api Key For Amplitude (Osaka template)- The key will be provided by Amplitude

Adding “Last Updated” Timestamp to Post Page
To add a “Last Updated” timestamp to a Post Page, follow these steps:

  • Click on the ‘Add Last Update’ toggle
  • You may edit the “Updated” text if necessary. This is especially important for sites in languages other than English
  • Click on “Publish” to save the changes
