How can I save my article?

To make sure that none of your work goes to waste, we automatically save your content without you needing to lift a finger. We provide an indication on top of the Editor that your content has been “Saved.

In cases where Saving Failed error shows up instead of Saved

We compiled use cases that can lead to Saving Failed error messages and how to mitigate:

Embedding a live Youtube embed link or YouTube Playlist link or a video that does not start from the beginning:

For example: https://www.youtube.com/live/1RZ9Sx3ef2Y?feature=share&t=3843

Unfortunately, this is what causes the error. To embed a youtube video, you will need to use the clean URL in this format- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RZ9Sx3ef2Y

https://www.youtube.com/live/KUh2kBA_WPE?si=4rPDIIuly9IFFtJh

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKDZDyvyj0U&list=PLkgkeIjk-8gSuI-EE1-Lo2zhplqjOaZQT

When Setting the video to start from the middle, this creates an error on Voltax. The video needs to be set to start from the beginning.

Body is empty in an existing post:

The root cause described here is that the error occurs when the article body becomes completely empty because the user deleted the entire text row using the trash bin icon. Voltax CMS does not allow saving existing drafts that have an empty body.

Recommended ways to avoid or fix this:

  1. Best practice: Do not delete the entire text row. Instead, edit the text in the existing row, or add new text first and only then remove the old content so the body is never fully empty.

  2. Workaround: If the draft is already broken or you must delete everything, create a new article using the “Create article” button and work there instead of continuing with the problematic draft.

Copy/Paste with Source formatting:

In most cases, the Saving Failed error will appear when a large text file was copied and pasted with the source's formatting included.

To resolve this, delete the text that was pasted and repaste as plain text only

Edit URL path already exists:

If an article publish attempt shows a “Failure” status, the most likely cause is that the URL in the “Edit URL” field is already used by another article. To fix it, copy and open that URL to confirm it loads an existing article, then have the user change the “Edit URL” to a unique value (for example, by adding “-2” or a date) and click Publish again. If it still fails after using a unique URL, check for other issues or escalate to the technical team.
