This guide provides step-by-step instructions for creating and saving a personal report using the OnSi report in the reporting system. It focuses on customizing the default OnSi report to fit your specific needs, making it easier to access relevant insights. For additional details about the data used in these reports, refer to the OnSi data glossary.
Log in to Voltax and click on the drop-down menu > Analytic > Reports.
Landing Page
Once logged in, the side menu on the left will display the default system report called “OnSi.”
This default report includes predefined dimensions and metrics that you can use as-is or customize by following the steps below.
Creating a Personal Report
We recommend creating a personal report that you can reuse every time you log in. This allows you to quickly access the data that matters most to you.
Note: You can use the system report ״OnSi” as it is or customize it by creating additional personal reports for more detailed analysis.
How to Create a Report
1. Set a Time Range
- Click on the time range selector in the toolbar (usually a calendar icon).
- Choose the date range you wish to analyze (e.g., last 7 days, last month, or a custom range).
2. Select Dimensions
- Click on “+Select Dimension” in the report editor.
- Choose dimensions from the dropdown menu that match the data you want to analyze.
- Example: Select “Article Category” to view data grouped by content type.
3. Select Metrics
- Click on “+Select Metrics.”
- Pick the metrics you’d like to include in your report.
- Example: Add “Page Views” and “Duration” to measure audience activity.
4. Apply Filters
- Click on the “Add Filter” placeholder. A dropdown menu will appear.
- Choose a filter type:
-- Site (e.g., the specific website you manage).
-- Article Author (e.g., filter by your name as a content creator).
- Select the condition (“in” will be pre-selected).
- Input the value for your filter (e.g., the site name or author name).
- Click Apply to save your filter.
5. Run and Save Your Report
- Click Run Report to generate your results.
- Once the data loads, click Save As to save your personal report.
-- Name your report (e.g., “Weekly Traffic Report”).
-- Your saved report will appear under “My Reports” in the side menu.
Accessing Saved Reports
On future logins, go to “My Reports” in the left-hand menu.
Click on your saved report to view the data you configured.
