This article provides detailed instructions on how to handle and distribute Keeper credentials to new users in the Voltax system.
Step-by-Step Guide:
1. Receiving the Keeper Link
- When a new user is onboarded and needs Voltax access, support will provide a Keeper link containing the login credentials. This link is active for only 24 hours from when it is generated. If not used within this timeframe, the link will expire, and the user will need to go through the forgot password process on Voltax.
2. Using the Keeper Link
- The Keeper link is designed to be clicked only once. After it has been opened, the link becomes invalid. It is essential to ensure that the link is opened by the intended user only. Any attempts to open the link again will fail, and the user will need to reset their password through Voltax.
3. Understanding the Username Format
- Usernames generated through Keeper will typically include a '+' sign followed by property initials. This format helps connect the account to the correct site backend. For example, a user for the MM site would receive credentials like
Testuser+MM@example.com.
4. Troubleshooting Login Issues
- Double-check the URL you are trying to log in to. If you get this error message, please log out and then log back in using the credentials provided in the Keeper link.
- If the user encounters any issues during the login process, even after ensuring all steps above are followed correctly, support is available to help. Please report the issue, and we can arrange a Zoom call to troubleshoot and resolve any obstacles preventing successful login.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these procedures to maintain high-security standards. If you encounter any discrepancies or have suggestions for improvement, please contact the Minute Media support team.
